Pharmaceutical Waste Destruction and FDA Compliant Recalls

Pharmaceutical waste can be hazardous or non hazardous , but both need secure disposal options. Our focus is to assure compliance of regulations administered by:

• Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) (40 CFR 262.11/261.3)
• Department of Transportation (DOT) (49 CFR 173)
• Joint Commission (TJC)
• Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA)
• Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
• Solid Waste Regulations in your State
• Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA)
• Medical Waste Regulations in your State
• National Institute of Occupational Health and Health (NIOSH)

Properly classifying your waste into hazardous and nonhazardous categories is critical to good compliance. We have over 25 years experience and over 100,000 products in our database to allow for a quick and accurate assessment of your particular situation.

Our contracts with multiple incinerators allow us to attain swift approvals and ship on a timely basis, usually within a week . We provide all the information the incinerator needs for an engineering and environmental review and work with their staff to expedite approvals. Once the review process is complete, we arrange for a properly insured and audited
transporter to pick up and deliver your waste.

We then provide you with a Certificate of Incineration attesting to the complete destruction of the waste. A witness can be provided from start to finish if required.

Controlled substances require special handling and we have over 25 years of properly destroying all classes of controlled substances for private and government institutions. We contact the DEA for you and advise you on all the necessary forms, protocol and reporting requirements to assure proper compliance as per 21 CFR 1307.21. We can offer experienced consulting to you so you can be sure you know all your options for properly destroying controlled substances, and then take the proper course for your particular situation. This approach offers you the best options of convenience, price, security and compliance.

In addition to pharmaceutical waste services, we can also conduct recalls in accordance with all FDA recommendations and regulations, streamlining and simplifying the process for your company.
